My lessons will be tailored to suit your needs. I like to have interactive sessions that address basic skills, application to real-life but also allow you the opportunity to improve your own standards and potentially pass an examination.

I will use a variety of activities including puzzles and games to allow you to utilise your thinking skills but also to practise your basic skills in maths and learn key mathematical vocabulary. I will present the methods to you in stages, allowing you to understand how to present your answers in a logical way. We will then attempt some questions together until you are confident that you can do them independently.

Between each session, I will prepare resources that will both recap on what you have completed previously with me and will further develop the skills learned - ensuring you understand how the skills in mathematics are all linked.

If you are going to be sitting an examination in maths, I will provide relevant exemplar materials that you can use to practise your skills and see how your scores are building towards your desired grade. Throughout the whole process I will ensure that I work at a pace that suits your own specific needs and will recap as often as is required.

Mathematics is a subject that many find boring, challenging and often cannot see where it can be applied in their lives. I will strive to break those barriers for learners and make them more confident on their own skills in maths.
