About My Lessons

My lessons are calm, patient, and fully tailored to your child's needs. I specialise in Primary English (KS1 & KS2) and teach online via Zoom.

Format:
Every child learns differently, so I start with a free 15-minute chat with parents to understand where your child is struggling and what their school is working on. Each 60-minute lesson is structured but relaxed: we start with a quick confidence booster, focus on the main skill for the day, and finish with a fun activity and praise. I use screen share, interactive games, slides, and worksheets that I send after the lesson for practice.

Content I Cover:
• Phonics and early reading for KS1
• Reading fluency, comprehension and inference
• Spelling rules, grammar and punctuation
• Creative writing, story structure and vocabulary
• SATs preparation for Year 2 & Year 6
• Most importantly — confidence building

My Teaching Method:
I am very patient and encouraging. Many of the children I teach are shy, anxious, or say "I can't do English". I break learning into tiny, achievable steps so they feel success quickly. No pressure, no rushing. I give lots of positive feedback and make lessons feel safe and fun.

Experience & Qualities:
I am based in Cheadle Hulme, SK8, and tutor many children across Stockport. I have experience supporting children who find school tricky, including those who need extra patience and reassurance. Parents describe me as warm, organised, and reliable. I am DBS checked.

My goal is simple: to help your child feel confident, capable, and happy in English.
