Rizwana Farooq

I am looking to teach in English language for foreign students. In my current role I am working as a Student Mentor for Mental Health students at Bolton College. I have interpreted for foreign language speakers in English, Gujarati, Punjabi and Dutch.

I believe that a great teacher sets high expectations in the classrooms to help students reach their full potential. They set standards of mutual respect, so that pupils know that substandard work or behaviour will be noticed and responded to. Good teachers believe that every student has the ability to learn.

A teacher, is a person who helps students to acquire knowledge, competence, or virtue, via the practice of teaching. Informally the role of teacher may be taken on by anyone. In some countries, teaching young people of school age may be carried out in an informal setting, such as within the family, rather than in a formal setting such as a school or college. Some other professions may involve a significant amount of teaching.

I have a friendly approachable nature, build rapport quickly with staff and clients. Hardworking and always punctual and organised, and I hope you will consider my application.
