Each lesson is tailored to the student’s current level and needs. I begin by understanding where the student is by identifying their strengths, gaps, and any specific areas of difficulty. From there, I break down topics into manageable parts and explain them in a way that matches their learning style.
I use a range of approaches such as visual aids, step-by-step breakdowns, and real-life examples. This helps students develop a deep and lasting understanding of the topic. Once they feel more confident, we focus on applying their knowledge to different types of questions, gradually building their problem-solving skills and independence.
Homework is set to encourage consistency and reinforce what we cover in lessons. We also go through exam-style questions under timed conditions. For example, if a question is worth five marks, the student will spend five minutes answering it. Afterwards, we review the solution together to ensure they are hitting all the marking points. This method helps students become more familiar with exam pressure and builds their confidence.
My goal is to make lessons feel supportive, engaging, and effective so that math becomes less intimidating and more achievable. I believe every student is capable of doing well and often just needs to discover what approach works best for them
