My lessons are mainly interactive and student focused, designed to build both understanding and confidence. In English I focus on building strong communication skills through reading, writing and discussions using texts and materials that connect to the syllabus. I guide my students in developing critical thinking by analysing themes, characters and perspectives while simultaneously encouraging them to express their own ideas. Grammar and vocabulary are also taught in context. In Art I encourage creative expression and creative thinking while also teaching techniques and exploring different mediums and styles. This helps the student develop both skill and confidence. I keep my lessons hands on by combining explanation, practice and reflection making sure my students actively participate and apply what they learn. My goal is to make both subjects enjoyable and also support their growth within each subject.
