With over two decades of teaching experience, I have effectively integrated active learning strategies and DIFI (Differentiation for Inclusion) tools into both classroom and online teaching environments. My online classes are designed to be interactive, engaging, and inclusive, ensuring that every learner remains actively involved despite the virtual setting. I believe that learning is most effective when students participate, collaborate, and reflect—hence, my lessons incorporate discussions, polls, breakout rooms, visual aids, and digital platforms such as Padlet, Jamboard, and Nearpod to promote active engagement.
Through active learning, I encourage students to think critically, share perspectives, and construct knowledge collaboratively. Activities like think-pair-share, case studies, and project-based learning are adapted for virtual delivery, fostering independent thinking and problem-solving skills. Regular formative assessments, quizzes, and reflective journals help track progress and maintain motivation.
Using DIFI tools, I plan lessons that cater to varied learning needs, abilities, and interests. I create differentiated online tasks, provide multimedia resources, and use flexible grouping to ensure equal participation. Diagnostic assessments and learner profiles guide my instruction, helping me scaffold learning for those who need support and extend challenges for advanced learners.
