Hi I am Ridgestone Guitar and Harmonica Tuition providing Lessons that are friendly, relaxed, hospitable, taking into consideration the attention span and individually matching the Tutees preferences and rate of progress. With Guitar Lesson, For the beginner I take into consideration the playability of the instrument they bring along and recommend any basic adjustments needed to make playing as comfortable as possible , we then learn what is called "Open position Chords" Beginners chords. One the Tutee has gained confidence and enjoyment in producing attractive sounds we can progress further at the tutee's pace to advancement. With established players I teach tonal improvements techniques, alternative tunings and music theory

With Ukulele, Mandolin and Banjo much the same procedure

Harmonica Lessons: I recommend that the Student has a reasonably good quality instrument (Cheap instruments are hard to play) All beginners learn with a Harmonica in the Key of C, I recommend either the Hohner Marine Band or the Hohner Special 20 which are reasonably priced. We learn good breathing practice, embature, tonal quality and effects. to achieve a convincing and pleasing sound. In essence the Pupil should enjoy the lesson and be happily motivated.
