My lessons are designed to feel less like a traditional classroom and more like a creative studio where ideas are explored, challenged, and refined. With seven years of experience teaching international qualifications in fashion and textiles, I focus on building both technical skills and creative confidence in my students.
Each session is structured but flexible. I usually begin with a short concept introduction, whether it is design development, textile exploration, or fashion theory, and then quickly move into practical application. I strongly believe that fashion is learned by doing, so my lessons are highly interactive. Students work on mood boards, concept building, sketching, and portfolio development, while I guide them through industry-relevant processes.
What makes my teaching different is the integration of real-world insights. Having worked closely with design teams, product development, and creative projects, I bring in practical knowledge about trends, sourcing, and how the industry actually functions. I also support students in developing their personal design identity, which is essential whether they aim for university admissions or professional careers.
I adapt my teaching style based on each student’s goals and learning pace. Some students need structured guidance, while others thrive with creative freedom, and I balance both carefully. My aim is to create a supportive and inspiring environment where students feel confident to experiment, make mistakes, and grow into thoughtful, skilled creatives.
