Across my academic and professional practice, I combine creative experimentation with strong technical expertise to engage learners, bridge theory and practice, and prepare students to critically and imaginatively navigate the evolving digital landscape. Having returned to higher education as a mature student, I understand first-hand the transformative impact of learning and the importance of feeling supported throughout that journey. This experience informs my teaching philosophy and pastoral approach, which centre on empathy, accessibility, and empowerment.

I take a student-centred approach to teaching, ensuring that every learner feels seen, valued, and encouraged to take ownership of their development. I make time to listen, identify individual needs, and provide tailored guidance — whether that involves academic support, confidence building, or wellbeing-related conversations.

Tracking student progress and providing constructive, developmental feedback has always been central to my teaching approach. I maintain close engagement with students through tutorials, mentoring, and portfolio reviews, supporting both academic achievement and personal growth.
