Rhys Eley

I am a student at Loughborough University studying Accounting and Finance. I offer GCSE and A-Level Maths tutoring for £25 per hour. My degree keeps me sharpening numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills. I use those skills to help students grow their understanding and confidence in Maths. I know that every student learns in a way so I make my lessons friendly, engaging and tailored to each student’s needs. Whether a student is stuck on a topic preparing for an exam or simply wants to boost Maths knowledge I give clear explanations and guide students through problems at a pace that fits them.

A key part of my tutoring is developing exam technique together with knowledge. I help students learn how to tackle types of exam questions see what a question is asking lay out their work clearly and avoid common mistakes. I also use past-paper questions so students get used to exam-style problems practice working quickly and see how marks are given. This way students do not learn Maths but also use their knowledge well in real exams.

I think building confidence is a part of learning. I encourage students to grow their problem-solving skills instead of simply giving answers. I am excited to help students reach their goals and I aim to make every session productive and enjoyable.
