My lessons are structured, supportive and fully tailored to each individual learner’s goals, experience level and creative interests. Every session begins with a short conversation about what you want to achieve, whether that is improving your technical skills, preparing for an A-level or degree assessment, building a professional portfolio, or simply exploring art as a personal passion. I take time to listen carefully to each learner’s needs and adapt the lesson content to suit their pace, preferred learning style and long-term objectives.

Each lesson combines practical skill development with relevant artistic theory and art history, allowing students to understand not only how techniques work, but why they are used. This approach helps strengthen both practical ability and critical thinking, which is particularly valuable for coursework, written work and exam preparation. I use clear, step-by-step demonstrations throughout, working through processes live so that students can easily follow each stage as it unfolds. Complex techniques are broken down into manageable steps, making learning feel accessible and achievable.

I have experience teaching and tutoring at A-level and Degree level, supporting students with drawing, painting, digital illustration, life drawing and portfolio development. I regularly help learners prepare for exams, meet assessment criteria and refine their work for submission and progression to higher levels of study. Alongside this, I encourage experimentation, individual expression and confidence in personal creative identity.

My teaching style is patient, encouraging and professional. I aim to create a relaxed but focused learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking creative risks and developing their skills with confidence. Each lesson is designed to leave learners feeling motivated, supported and clear about their next steps in their artistic journey.
