As a hardworking, punctual, and dynamic professional, I have demonstrated my wide range of strengths both academically and practically with an established track record of achievements to date. Having graduated with a first division with honours in Mathematics, I went on to complete my PGCE in Mathematics which not only further enhanced my knowledge of the subject but enabled me to acquire the practical teaching and delivery skills through the two school placements I undertook: one at a high achieving school and the other with a set of challenges such as behaviour and SEN students. In both schools, despite being a trainee, I made a significant contribution in raising the level of my students. Then I completed my NQT (newly qualified teacher) status at the Space Studio school in Banbury where not only was I selected to teach up to A-Level Maths and Further Maths, I took several initiatives to boost the school’s maths department. I introduced A Level Further Maths to the school, designed the curriculum for it and then was the only teacher who delivered it. Moreover, I also took the initiative to design the units on statistics consisting of further probability, binomial distribution, normal, discrete random variable, and hypothesis testing. This was another first for the school, which I subsequently delivered. Finally, I trained other members of staff in teaching Further Maths as a part of the knowledge transfer for the curriculum I had put in place. My teaching skills had proven to be effective at the Space School with all of my A-Level Maths students scoring 100% on their Numerical Method course work which was confirmed through moderation by an external invigilator. In the final exams, 100% of my A-level Further Maths students achieved grades A-D. Since Space Studio Banbury was a new school formed with an innovative and exciting ethos based around the subject specialisms of mathematics, technology, and science, I was able to stay up-to-date with relevant subject knowledge while improving my own knowledge of them through various CPD attendance such as the Cambridge education project (December 2015 and February 2016), KS4 and KS5 enrichment and extension resources and Applied Mathematics for A level. I worked well with the rest of the staff and take direction from management to achieve the school's objectives. In my next role at the City of Leicester College, I had the opportunity to teach Maths at KS3 as well as GCSE and A-Level but my main specialism was in A-Level STEP Maths in which I continued to demonstrate my subject as well as teaching delivery skills across all levels which was recognised during a formal observation with a status of Good. Since then, I have continued to advance my Maths teaching abilities through supply work at various schools and private tuition with the Tutor at Education & Care Saturday school and one-to-one home tuition covering GCSE to A-Level Further Maths. Since September 2017, I have been working as a supply maths teacher at Wyggeston and Queen Elizabeth I College. Teaching at WQE, enabled me to become more familiar with current changes in A-Level. In September 2018 I started to work at Kings of the Wessex academy Cheddar. However, this role supposed to be a short term (3 months role) but in first months of my career there, I have been offered permanent role as a A level maths teacher. Since then, I was the only A level maths and further maths teacher there. In last two years in Kings, I managed to write new scheme of work for the A level maths and further maths (for 2017 spec) and trained few teachers there to teach those subjects too. In both first and second year of my teaching over there, 100% of my students passed their course and over 70% achieved A-A*. In addition, I attended for various CPD sessions for A level maths and further maths. I also taught additional subject of science (physics for A level for a year) too.
