I am an architecture graduate with First Class Honours from the University of Manchester / Manchester School of Architecture, and I am currently studying for my master’s at the University of Bath. I also have experience as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant, with a strong background in portfolio development, design communication, and using AI tools within the architectural design process.
I help secondary school students who are preparing to apply for architecture, interior design, or other creative university courses build strong, thoughtful, and personal portfolios.
My lessons are friendly, practical, and tailored to each student’s goals. I usually begin by understanding the student’s interests, target university courses, current creative work, and confidence level. From there, I help them create a clear portfolio strategy, including what projects to include, how to develop concepts, how to present drawings and models, and how to explain their design thinking.
The lesson format can include portfolio reviews, design tutorials, idea development sessions, layout and presentation guidance, university application advice, and interview preparation. For students starting from scratch, I can guide them step by step in creating new portfolio projects that show creativity, observation, experimentation, and spatial thinking.
I also introduce students to ways of using AI effectively and responsibly in architecture and design. This may include using AI for brainstorming, visual research, moodboards, writing project descriptions, improving workflow, and exploring different design directions, while still making sure the final portfolio feels personal and original.
My aim is to help students gain confidence in their creative voice and produce a portfolio that clearly communicates their ideas, personality, and potential to university admissions teams.
