I believe that every student can succeed in Mathematics with the right approach. My method is centred on treating maths as a language: once you understand the rules and principles, the subject becomes far less intimidating and far more logical. This means that in my sessions, we go beyond memorising formulas or repeating methods — I ensure you really understand why something works, so you can apply it confidently in any situation.
I always start by identifying where a student feels least confident, breaking topics down into smaller, manageable steps. From there, we build a strong foundation before tackling more advanced questions. I encourage students to explain their thinking aloud, as this not only highlights where they might be unsure but also reinforces their own understanding.
Having experienced tutoring myself, I know the difference it makes: I went from struggling in Set 3 at GCSE to achieving an A* at A-Level. That personal journey means I understand the frustration that comes with maths, but also the satisfaction when it “clicks”. My aim is to pass that on, helping students gain both knowledge and confidence, and ultimately transforming maths from a struggle into a strength.
If you are someone who is struggling to come tor grasp with mathematics, or you simply hate it - I will teach you to think of it as a universal language, and ensure you come to understand the 'bigger picture'; with me you will always find the application of mathematics to real-world problems, and stop treating it as an obstacle.
