My lessons are structured, supportive, and focused on helping students make real, practical progress. Sessions are always tailored to the individual, but they follow a clear and reassuring format so students know what to expect and feel comfortable from the start.
Each session begins with a short check-in, giving the student space to talk about how they are feeling and what they would like to focus on. From there, we work on one or two key areas such as confidence, motivation, managing pressure, organisation, goal-setting, or decision-making. I use guided questioning, discussion, and simple reflective activities to help students think clearly, understand themselves better, and develop confidence in their abilities.
Lessons are interactive and conversational rather than lecture-based. Students are encouraged to speak openly, reflect honestly, and take ownership of their progress, while I provide structure, encouragement, and practical strategies. Where appropriate, we break goals into small, manageable steps that feel realistic and achievable.
Each session ends with a clear takeaway or action step, so students leave knowing exactly what to work on before our next meeting. This helps build consistency, confidence, and momentum over time.
I have extensive experience supporting students with academic pressure, low confidence, motivation, and transitions such as exams or changes in direction. My approach is calm, approachable, and supportive, while also gently challenging students to grow.
Overall, my aim is for every student to leave each lesson feeling clearer, more confident, and better equipped to move forward.
