I have over thirty years' experience of coaching and mentoring people, including students, using a holistic approach. This means I support you in developing a methodical approach to your studies.
At the same time I encourage you to attend to your wellbeing at physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, academic, creative, financial and social levels - I understand that your academic success is not only a function of great study habits.
You are a whole person and every part of your life is important. You decide what you share with me, and we work together to help you get clear about what is important and how to prioritise the different parts of your life so they reinforce each other. Then I act as your accountability partner for your success!
We start with a personal questionnaire, where you tell me what your learning and study goals are and anything you want me to know about your life that is relevant to your goals. Each session, you will identify actions that you commit to between sessions, and we check at the beginning of the next session how you got on - your successes and the things that got in the way. Then you recommit and we go forward in this way.
You are always in control of what you share. I commit to both supporting you and stretching you where you don't follow through on things you really want for yourself. Together, we can help you develop strength, resilience, self-confidence and self-esteem for the best outcomes.
