My lessons are clear, structured, and adapted to each student’s level and goals. I begin by understanding what the student needs most, whether that is improving confidence, preparing for exams, solving problem sheets, understanding difficult topics, or catching up with school or university work.
I usually teach by first explaining the concept in a simple step-by-step way, then working through examples together, and finally guiding the student through practice questions until they can solve problems independently. I focus on helping students understand why things happen in Physics or Electrical Engineering, not just how to memorise formulas. This makes learning more effective and helps students perform better in exams.
I can support students with GCSE, A level, university Physics, Electrical Engineering topics, homework, coursework, revision, and exam preparation. Lessons can include theory explanation, problem-solving practice, past paper questions, and revision planning depending on the student’s needs.
I teach in a patient, supportive, and encouraging way. I know that students learn at different speeds, so I always adapt my explanation style and pace. If a topic is difficult, I break it down into smaller parts and use examples until it becomes clear.
I am currently a PhD researcher in Engineering at the University of Edinburgh and have experience as a Tutor, Demonstrator, and Lecturer. This means I am used to teaching technical concepts clearly and helping students build both understanding and confidence.
Lessons can be online or in person, and I aim to make them focused, interactive, and useful for real academic improvement.
