My lessons are structured, supportive, and closely aligned with the White Rose Maths scheme, which I’ve previously used in school settings. I typically begin by identifying what the student already understands, then build on their knowledge through clear explanations, step-by-step modelling, and guided practice. I use a mix of interactive teaching and carefully selected White Rose worksheets to reinforce learning and ensure pupils are confident with key concepts before moving on. Lessons are tailored to each child’s pace, with regular check-ins, questioning, and real-life examples to make maths more relatable. My aim is to create a calm, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and steadily building confidence as well as strong foundational skills in maths.
