My lessons are engaging, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs, with a strong focus on building confidence as well as knowledge. I use a clear lesson format so students always know what to expect: we begin with a short recap or warm-up to activate prior learning, move into guided teaching with clear explanations and modelling, then practise together before students work more independently. I always finish with reflection or feedback so progress is visible and celebrated.
The content of my lessons is carefully adapted to suit the learner’s age, ability, and goals. For younger students, lessons are interactive and fun, using visuals, games, storytelling, and hands-on activities to keep them motivated and curious. For older students, I focus on developing understanding, problem-solving skills, and exam confidence, breaking concepts down into manageable steps and revisiting them in different ways to secure learning.
I am a qualified teacher with experience across Early Years and primary education, including Reception and Key Stage 2. This has given me a strong understanding of curriculum expectations, assessment, and how children learn at different stages. I am patient, encouraging, and supportive, and I believe every student can succeed with the right guidance.
Most importantly, my lessons are a safe space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and trying again. I adapt my teaching style to suit each learner, ensuring lessons are enjoyable, purposeful, and effective.
