What My Lessons Are Like

As an experienced academic and practitioner with over two decades of teaching Accounting and Finance at international institutions, my lessons are structured, engaging, and highly personalized to suit the learning needs of students at all levels—GCSE, A-Level, undergraduate, and postgraduate.

Lesson Format
I conduct interactive online sessions using Zoom or MS Teams. Lessons include digital whiteboards, shared resources, and live demonstrations. Each topic is explained with practical examples and real-world applications. I provide structured notes, worksheets, and clear explanations of accounting principles, financial reporting, and advanced topics. Exam preparation is also a key part of my teaching, including mock questions and past paper reviews.

Content and Dynamics
Lessons cover a full range of topics from basic bookkeeping to advanced corporate finance, IFRS, managerial accounting, and financial analysis. I integrate both applied knowledge and academic theory, ensuring students understand not only how accounting works, but why it matters. My content is always aligned with the curriculum—whether it's AQA, Edexcel, Cambridge, or a university-specific syllabus.

My Teaching Experience
I have over 20 years of teaching experience, including PhD, master's, and undergraduate supervision. I currently lecture in Accounting and Finance at Teesside University in the UK and have held senior academic roles, including Associate Professor and Program Head at Sohar University in Oman.
