I have been teaching English to students of different age groups for more than two years. My class would be learner-centric and interactive. At present, I am a postgraduate student in MA Education(TESOL). I use the skills and tools I learn as a part of the course for my classes.
Since the target content of my subject is language learning, it is important for the learner to have an opportunity to practise what they learn. I create such opportunities through activities and audio-visual aids.
I believe that presenting language visually aids the learning of the students. The stories, flash cars, pictures etc... which would be used in the classes make the classes interesting and knowledgeable at the same time.
As a teacher, I have to conduct a Needs Analysis of the student to understand their aim in learning the language and tune the content accordingly. The major approach I use in my class is Presentation-Practice-Production. This approach makes sure that the student understands what has been presented to them.
I am an approachable teacher, open to any kinds of queries that the students may have with regard to the subject.
