I usually would like to engage with the students. Taking a hands on approach, where I would allow them to try and attempt questions first, so we can then pick up the gaps. I would try to make sure they understand the content thoroughly, and explain why they are doing what they are doing. In addition to this, the use of exam style questions is crucial, in order to achieve high grades, students will sometimes need to decode and break the wording down before attempting questions. I would also try to ensure, for some topics, quick summary notes/cheat sheets are provided.
