Rahma Patel

I have experience in teaching students from KS1 up until A-Levels. In particular, my students are studying for GCSE and A-Levels meaning there is a plan put into place for each of them to allow them to reach their full potential and target grades. I would describe my teaching style as very student led, my job is to guide my students and support them in the right direction and make adjustments based on what’s working well for them. I am there to encourage and build their confidence and make them really enjoy the learning the subject.

The content of my lessons is planned around what my students are currently studying at school, specific struggles they are facing and any exams they are working towards. My lessons are supported with relevant homework to make sure teaching has been consolidated outside of lessons. I also give regular exam questions to create a sense of familiarity with the exam structure and mark schemes. Time management is something I like to focus on as well as teaching some basics like spelling and grammar.

My specialty subject is English which i’m currently studying at degree level. I have a real passion for the subject studying it at ever level, I’ve also written several books and write articles in my spare time. I also teach history and geography.
