Hello, I’m Rachel, a qualified teacher with 18 years of experience supporting children and young people with a wide range of learning needs.
I specialise in working with autistic, ADHD and anxious learners, including those experiencing school avoidance, emotionally based school non-attendance and PDA profiles. My sessions are calm, flexible and tailored to each student’s individual strengths, interests and learning style.
I understand that traditional educational approaches do not work for every child. My aim is to create a safe, supportive environment where young people feel understood, build confidence and rediscover a love of learning.
I offer personalised support in English, maths and wider curriculum areas, as well as study skills, emotional regulation strategies and confidence building. Whether a student is working towards GCSEs, needs help re-engaging with education or simply requires a different approach, I adapt sessions to meet their needs.
Alongside my teaching experience, I have delivered neurodiversity training and worked extensively with families, schools and support services to help young people achieve positive outcomes.
Every learner deserves to feel successful. My role is to help them get there in a way that works for them.
