Rachel Telfer

I am Rachel and I am currently training to become a primary school teacher. I enjoy my degree because I am able to allow young people to discover their own interests and passions but, also help them build a positive mindset towards learning.

I have recently just done my A levels where I studied: maths, French and drama. Therefore, I have a first person experience of what current exam questions are like and can show you what preparation and revision techniques I did in order to feel prepared in sitting my exams whilst still having a social life. My main area of interest is maths because I see the problems like a puzzle and enjoy trying to work out the answer. Also, I like finding different ways to get to the same answer to then understand the most systematic method to get an answer.

In my sessions I look at focusing on your specific areas of development to allow you to feel more confident in these subjects. I like to break things down into simple steps that you can follow in each question. But, I ensure you build a good foundation of knowledge in that subject that you can then build on. My main aim is to help you get onto your next chapter and give you confidence in yourself within your studies.
