My lessons are engaging, structured, and entirely tailored to each student’s individual needs and goals. I begin by identifying areas of strength and those that require development through discussion, diagnostic activities, or assessment data. From there, I design a clear, personalised learning plan that builds skills progressively and keeps students motivated through achievable, measurable targets.
Each session blends explanation, modelling, and active practice. I use a mix of interactive discussion, close textual analysis, and scaffolded writing tasks to help students deepen their understanding and refine their exam technique. I also integrate retrieval and revision strategies to build confidence and ensure long-term retention of key concepts.
I teach English Language and Literature up to A Level, drawing on my 15 years of classroom experience and my Master’s in Teaching and Learning. I am also a qualified assessor and SENCO, meaning I understand how to adapt teaching for a range of learning needs and can provide Access Arrangement assessments where appropriate.
My lessons aim to nurture not just academic success, but a genuine enjoyment of English — encouraging students to think critically, express themselves with confidence, and discover their own voice. Whether preparing for GCSEs, A Levels, or improving general literacy, my students benefit from supportive, structured sessions that develop both skill and self-belief.
Ultimately, I want every student to leave each lesson feeling empowered, informed, and ready to take the next step in their learning journey.
