Rachel Appleton

Hi there! I’m Rachel, and I would love to help you in your learning journey. I provide lessons to students from primary school age up to the age of around 13. My lessons are fun and interactive and will put you in great stead to go back to school and show off your learning! I will provide a mixed-methods lesson which will include recapping what we have already learned, introducing a new topic in an easy to understand manner, and questions that we will work through together to fully understand the theme.

My experience includes working with primary school children as they learn basic literacy skills and providing educational workshops to home-educated children between the ages of 3 to 14. Throughout gaining this experience, I have worked with children across different developmental levels, both socially and academically. I am happy to work at a pace that suits you and will always be patient with your needs. I also have a full DBS check and some safeguarding training.

My academic record demonstrates my capability to tutor with skill. I have a first class honours degree from Durham University, 4 A*s at A Level, and 12A*s and 2As at GCSE, making me a great choice to put you in a great position to take on these exams and gain these qualifications in the future.

I am very flexible with hours and times and can work completely around your schedule.
