I work hard with my pupils and their parents to identify the areas they would like to improve on. I have good relationships with the families I work with and see this as a real benefit to the tuition I provide.

Lessons are structured yet flexible to pupil needs. I tend to start with an explanation of a concept, followed by some practice questions which allow the pupil to apply their new knowledge or revise the idea we have discussed. I encourage pupils to ask questions and make sure to check for understanding frequently. Pupils and parents appreciate the feedback I provide after lessons, which I ensure is thorough, clear and constructive.

As well as offering help with key concepts and exams, I work with older students who are preparing university applications or who require guidance with essay writing. In these sessions, I place an importance on discussion and working towards a student's goals with them taking the lead. Academic integrity is of great importance and past students have appreciated my position on this and my approach to adult teaching.

Overall, I aim to give my students effective strategies to reach their potential. I work hard to get to know individuals and their learning styles. As well as improving exam scores and outcomes, I place a real emphasis on encouraging students and improving their confidence. I am patient, enthusiastic, organised, thorough, and reliable. I take great pride in seeing my students succeed and am committed to doing my best for all of them.
