Hi! I'm Rachael, a friendly and approachable first-class graduate from Exeter University. I want to help you to fulfill your potential. I work dynamically to respond to your needs, working to build your confidence and knowledge in a particular subject. I help you to believe in yourself more and to have more confidence when facing difficult questions, as you often know the answer even if you may not think it! I enjoy watching students improve each lesson, harnessing their natural talents and watching them achieve their goals.

I am hardworking and organised. I work with the student to improve knowledge, build better methods when responding to exam questions, and developing ways to remember content. I have an approachable, gentle nature and I work equally well with students who may be shy or nervous.

Our first session will be a free 15-minute meeting to discuss what goals you want to achieve, and what I can offer to help you achieve those goals.

Depending on your needs, lessons can be focused on content or on essay writing/exam technique. Each student learns differently, so I work with you to find a way of learning that works for you, and adjust the pace and style for each student. I often use graphs, drawings, and visual representations. Lessons always involve collaboration -- I want to know what you know and grow on the knowledge that you already have. I think the most important thing to encourage learning is confidence, and cultivating curiosity in the subject. Often, you already know the answer -- you just need to have the confidence and skills to apply your knowledge to essays and exams, and I can help you with that.

Personally, I learn holistically. My interdisciplinary first-class Liberal Arts degree taught me to see subjects as interconnected, and I often encourage students to apply new knowledge to other areas. Depending on the student's goals, we can work to build confidence in knowledge in a subject, or we can work towards improving their grade in a particular subject.
