Qingqing Miao

I’ve taught Mandarin Chinese in England for more than a year. Precisely, I was in a secondary school to teach Mandarin from Y7 to Y11 and organized Chinese New Year activities and other Chinese traditional activities at school. And the staffs and students truly loved it! In my class, I will always create two or three innovative and exciting online games for helping girls to effectively memorize or review what they have learned. Besides, I know about UK's education system and curriculum. I helped Y7-Y11 students practise their Mandarin speaking and writing. One of my students even won the third prize when she took part in the 2022 "Chinese Bridge" Mandarin Speaking Competition for UK Secondary School Students held by CLEC UK. At the same time, I guided them to practise GCSE and Pre-U courses.

Now I am in an infant school to teach F2, Y1 and Y2 to learn Mandarin. I’ve always felt accomplished and excited when kids can speak Mandarin to me when I utilize TPR methods. In conclusion, I have the primary and secondary school teaching experience in UK, so I have confidence to help students grasp Mandarin in school.
