My teaching style is fun, interactive and carefully tailored to each student. I believe personalised learning is one of the best ways to make real progress, because every learner has different strengths, needs, interests and goals.
As a qualified UK primary teacher, I connect my teaching closely with the UK National Curriculum, especially when supporting children with English, maths, science and wider primary learning. At the same time, I do not only focus on completing school topics. I also place strong emphasis on building solid foundations, such as reading fluency, vocabulary, sentence structure, number sense, problem-solving skills, logical thinking and independent learning habits. I believe these core skills are transferable and will support students across many subjects, not just in one lesson or one test.
In my lessons, I aim to make learning clear, structured and enjoyable. I often create my own slides, worksheets, visual resources and practice activities based on the student’s level and learning target. For younger learners, I may use pictures, games, storytelling, phonics activities, sentence-building tasks and hands-on examples. For older or more confident learners, I include more challenge, reasoning questions, extended writing, discussion and problem-solving tasks.
I also believe that “building the basics” is extremely important. Before moving on to harder content, I make sure students understand the key ideas properly and can use them with confidence. For example, in English, this may mean strengthening vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading comprehension and sentence writing. In maths, this may mean securing number bonds, place value, calculation strategies and reasoning skills. Once the foundations are strong, students are much more able to learn independently and tackle more challenging work.
My goal is to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and improving step by step. You are very welcome to talk to me about your needs, current level and learning goals, so I can design lessons that suit you best and help you enjoy learning while making real progress.
