Priyan Mistry

I am a 3rd year student at the University of Bristol, studying for a Master’s in Physics. I have 3 years of experience tutoring students in years 10-13 in Maths and Physics. In those years, I have thoroughly enjoyed being able to provide a deeper understanding of challenging concepts in Maths and Physics to students in order to help them achieve the top grades. I have accomplished this by using my previous experiences at school, along with a careful assessment of current syllabuses to create topic specific lessons which give students more time to fully understand the concept they are learning; something not always possible during school time. As well as helping high achieving students achieve the top grades, I have proven experience with tutoring a student who struggled with a fundamental understanding of a number of Maths topics. The student’s teachers predicted them a Grade 3 in Maths GCSE, however through series of targeted lessons in the run up to their exam, the student was able to achieve a grade 6.

My lessons are conducted via zoom and I have a touch screen laptop which enables me to remotely write on student’s screens, and my feedback has been positive with regard to this method. I would be more than happy to arrange a sample call/lesson to demonstrate how my lessons are usually conducted.
