My lessons are structured, engaging, and designed to build strong analytical and writing skills. I hold a Master’s degree in Literature in English and gained practical classroom experience during my National Youth Service, where I taught English Literature at the secondary school level. During this period, I guided students through prose, poetry, and drama while preparing them for examinations, helping them develop confidence in textual analysis and written expression.
I have built substantial experience as both an online and in-person tutor, teaching pupils, secondary school students, and university learners in English and Literature. Working across different levels has strengthened my adaptability and ability to adjust content to suit varying academic needs. I deliver structured, engaging lessons that maintain student focus while promoting critical thinking, clarity of expression, and measurable academic improvement.
Each lesson begins with a brief review of previous material, followed by a clear explanation of the day’s topic. I break down complex literary concepts into manageable steps and use guided discussions and practice exercises to deepen understanding. Students are encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and express their interpretations with clarity.
I prioritize real-world application in my teaching because connecting literary themes to everyday experiences strengthens comprehension and long-term retention. I also provide constructive feedback on essays and assignments to help students improve structure, argument development, and analytical depth.
My goal is not only to help students succeed academically but also to cultivate independent thinking and lasting confidence in their engagement with literature.
