I mould my teaching styles based on the requirement of the students. Since I am covering beginners, mostly I keep it quite relatable to general life in order to increase interest in the subject. It can be strictly me speaking and the student taking notes and occasionally asking questions as well. I am quite friendly and I like to keep lectures casual and fun, accounting for maximum engagement, which often leads to maximum attention and hence learning.
As far as content is concerned, I will be covering topics such as basic history of the development of psychology, schools of thought, especially Psychodynamic Approach, Behavioural Approach, Cognitive Approach and Humanistic Approach, basics of biological bases of behaviour, Personality, Abnormal Psychology, Learning, Sensation and Perception and Motivation and Emotion.
