I have more than 5 years of experience as an English Teacher. For me, studying and teaching go hand in hand. Due to the diversity of my students, I am constantly learning new things as I teach. Each student in the class has a special set of skills and life experiences. These are the things I prioritise when I teach. Additionally, I let students be who they are. This is a technique I use for fostering a supportive learning environment.
I have been teaching English at an advanced level and really focus on the basics of grammar because this is the utmost root of learning English. I really like my class to be interactive so that while we are learning it, we will also be able to recognise the mistakes while we are speaking.
My approach to education is very simple: Teach, like it is your last day today. I talk to my students in each class what are the problems they are facing and I put a lot of attention to the revision because for me repetition and practice plays a very important role in the learning.
Also, I always keep into account WH questions like who, why, what, where, and when in my mind and stress these points. I always take into account independent critical thinking, life skills, and the capacity of a student and I encourage them to use these to understand the real life situations.
