My lessons are interactive, engaging, and designed to make psychology both accessible and enjoyable for teenagers. I use a variety of teaching methods, including short presentations, worksheets, games, and activities that encourage participation and critical thinking. Lessons often incorporate short videos, mainly to present case studies and add a visual element to learning, helping students connect theory to real-life examples.

I aim to create a positive, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas, and sharing their perspectives. Activities are designed to cater to different learning styles, combining visual, auditory, and practical (where possible) approaches, so each student can engage in the way that suits them best. Worksheets and guided tasks provide opportunities for practice and reflection, reinforcing learning and helping students consolidate new knowledge.

My experience tutoring maths and English, alongside teaching psychology to teenagers at a summer school, has given me insight into how to connect with learners of different ages and abilities. This experience allows me to adapt my approach to engage students effectively, supporting their academic development and fostering confidence in their skills. I focus on helping students grow as learners and as individuals, using practice questions, exam technique guidance, and structured tasks to help them meet academic goals and feel prepared for any assessments.

Lessons are structured to maintain energy and engagement throughout, with a mix of discussion, activities, and reflective tasks. I emphasise making psychology relevant to students’ own experiences and everyday life, encouraging them to think critically about human behaviour, society, and themselves. My goal is for students not only to understand psychological concepts but also to enjoy learning, feel supported in their development, and be inspired to explore the subject further.
