Hello, I'm Dilly, a fully qualified maths teacher with over eight years' experience teaching secondary mathematices. I also mark official GCSE Maths exam papers, so I know exactly what examiners are looking for and can show students how to pick up every mark available.

I tutor GCSE and IGCSE maths, online for students around the world and in person across the New Forest and Hampshire.

Every student starts with a free 15 minute introductory call so I can understand where they are, what they find tricky and what they are aiming for. From there I plan lessons around them rather than following a fixed script. A typical one hour lesson begins with a quick recap of last time, then focuses on one or two topics. We work through examples together before the student tries questions independently. As exams get closer, we use real past papers and focus on exam technique, timing and checking answers.

Online lessons are live and interactive, so we can work through problems together in real time, just as if we were sitting side by side.

I struggled with maths at school until a teacher showed me that focused effort really does bring reward, and that is the experience I want to give every student. My lessons are calm, friendly and patient, and students feel comfortable asking questions without worrying about getting things wrong. I have lots of experience supporting students with SEN, including autism and ADHD, and students who have lost confidence in maths.

I also hold an MSc in Psychology, am DBS checked on the Update Service and have a Mental Health First Aid qualification.
