Audiovisual director, photographer, researcher, curator and professor, Philipi Bandeira is a doctoral student (Ph.D) and Master in Communication (UFPE) and also Bachelor of Social Sciences (UFC). He has experience in cinema and audiovisual, documentary, visual anthropology, photography, ethnography and ethnology, also presenting technical training in photography, audio, film and video. He has integrated collectives and integrated arts residencies in the cities of Fortaleza, Recife and Belo Horizonte, being the author of researches, photo essays, documentaries and experimental ethnographic films, having partnership and collaboration in works of video art, music, dance and performance. He maintains collaboration in groups, networks and research, production and training projects in Brazil and abroad. He was coordinator of the Cinema and Audiovisual course at the UNINTA University Center, in Sobral, Ceará ( ), Audiovisual Coordinator at the Secretariat of Culture of Fortaleza (2008), professor at the Audiovisual School of Vila das Artes ( ) , Senior Photography Instructor at SENAC-CE (2008) and curator of the Contemporary Indigenous Film Festival ( ), among several other courses and workshops he taught. He was awarded in public contests/public notices: BNB Cultural Program - Visual Arts category (2005), DocTv Brasil IV Program (2008), Chico Albuquerque Photography Prize (2016), Ceará das Artes Public Notice - Photography category - Secult/CE (2018) and Edict Ceará de Cinema e Video - Long Doc category (2018) - Secult/CE.

He is a researcher at the Graduate Program in Communication at the Federal University of Pernambuco (PPGCOM/UFPE), integrating the research line “Aesthetics and Cultures of Image and Sound”, under the guidance of Prof. PhD José Afonso Jr. He is a member of SOCINE - Brazilian Society of Cinema Studies, of AIM - Association of Moving Image Researchers (Portugal), of APORDOC - Association for Documentary Films (Portugal) and is also part of RedArtH - International Network for Collaboration in Arts, Humanities and Education. He is a member of the research groups “Contemporary Images” (Coord. Angela Prysthon / UFPE) and “Group of Studies and Research on Cities” (Coord. Nilson Almino / UVA). He is co-founder of the Image Anthropology Laboratory – LAI / UFC ( ). In his academic and teaching career, he presented papers, participated in seminars and taught courses at various events and universities: SBPC, UFC, UFPE, UFBA, UFRB, UFMG, UERJ, Fundaj, University of Strasbourg (France), Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Portugal), among other private institutions.
