I use a very personal, one-to-one approach with an emphasis upon listening and speaking as well as vocabulary and grammar. You will get the opportunity to practice with the new materials to master them.

I have worked for many years in Asia and the Middle East as well as my native Canada. This experience includes work with private companies, colleges, oil companies and military organisations.

I know how to put a lesson together for someone's personal needs. This incudes using specialist, technical material if necessary.

My experience includes work with people who need to pass a specific level for an examination. I'm a certified Cambridge examiner and have helped people in the past with work on passing TOEFL and IELTS exams.

My lessons are structured so you will get a maximum amount of speaking time and the opportunity to improve your pronunciation and listening abilities. We will usually work with a textbook plus additional materials. I have worked with a number of course formats and am currently using Pearson but can switch to any other course you wish to do.

In recent years, I have been working from my home in England teaching students from Spain online. However I also have considerable classroom experience in various Middle Eastern countries, Asia and my native Canada. To sum up, I am a very flexible teacher. An hour with me will go by very quickly.

Most of my students, with a bit of work, have improved in their ability and passed exams needed for advancement with their companies and organisations.
