I am the lead maths teacher at an Ofsted accredited online school. For the last 4 years, I have specialised in online teaching and firmly believe that high quality remote teaching rivals even the best in person education.

During my career, I have been fortunate to work with pupils with extremely diverse needs and goals, from year 7s struggling to adjust to secondary education to year 13s aiming for top universities. While the content of the maths may be different, my goal is always the same, to create an environment where my pupils feel confident and ready for a challenge.

My teaching centres on developing deeper understanding, rather than excessive memorisation. Maths is far more enjoyable when you feel like you are solving puzzles and making connections rather than learning a rigid procedure.

While maths can be a challenging subject for many students, I believe anyone can build confidence in it, if offered the right support. And who knows, it might even start to be fun!
