Peter O'prey

Hi
My name is Peter O'Prey .
I was a teacher for nearly thirty years and have run my own tutoring
business Greater Expectations
I have many qualifications including a Bachelor of Education the
Professional Qualification for Headship and much more.
My teaching has 'focussed on many different things including
transfer test literacy and numeracy and dyslexia support for children and adults.
My main experience has been in Upper Key Stage 2 but my tutoring has
allowed me to work with virtually any age including adults

My approach is easy and boils down to two principles
Firstly Everyone can learn
and Secondly Learning can be fun
In my own life I had an autistic and dyslexic son who is now
an Embedded Software Engineer.
He was written off but it is my belief that everyone
can be helped and everyone can be a success.
As a fanatic West Ham fan hope springs eternal.
I have helped hundreds of children attain entrance into the school
of their choice but I also have helped many improve the quality
of their work and therefore improve their life
This is what I find satisfying helping students be their best
I am keen to use my expertise to help others
I have published a childrens book "Aliens from Bazuki" and several
educational advice books like "101 Dyslexia Spelling Tips for Parents.
I will have a book on football "The Only Religion Is West Ham published in Januart 2024
I hope I will have the opportunity to discuss how I can best use my skill
