I am a sixth-form student studying Maths, History and Media Studies. Based on my SATs results from year 6 I was predicted to achieve Grade 8s in my GCSEs but through my time in secondary school I progressed further than expected and was able to achieve seven Grade 9s, two 8s and one 7 which is the equivalent of nine A*s and an A.

I offer 1 to 1 tutoring sessions for SATs and GCSE students to help them achieve results that accurately represent the best of their ability.

One reason to choose me over others is that I faced such disruption over the course of my GCSE experience but was still able to place in the top 1% of students nationally. I started GCSEs in 2019 and had around 6 months of learning before COVID-19 forced me and my peers to study from home which was extremely challenging to say the least. After coming back from missing half a year of school I started year 10 and shortly after had to isolate from November to March due to an outbreak in my school followed by the national lockdown. Despite all of this I came back half way through year 10 and in the next year and a half progressed from grade 6 and 7s in all my subject to eventually get 9s which is almost double the progression expected in that period of time.

I will be using sites such as Mathsgenie, CorbettMaths and DFM to create sets of work for each topic in the GCSE or SATs maths course and give some very important tips that can help your child to do the best they can.
