I have delivered over 500 sessions, both online and in person, supporting children in their learning, bridging gaps, improving basic literacy and numeracy skills, and extending the more able. My pupils have included several with SEN including ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia and Dyscalculia. I have supported children from ages 6-13 in maths and literacy, including targeted SATs and 11+ entrance exams. I have a 100% success rate with 11+ examination. Pupils are engaged through a range of exciting activities, including use of EdShed for bespoke, targeted sessions.
I have almost 30 years of teaching experience, including many as a Deputy Headteacher, and over 8 years experience as a tutor. I am a published children's author and offer one-to-one writing sessions, in which the pupil and I collaborate to produce a joint composition. This can be anything from creative story writing to GCSE essay writing.

Paul is a dedicated experienced teacher. He is very down to earth. He has a sense of humour with students but still has high expectations of behaviour. He has excellent knowledge across the whole primary curriculum and is very good at thinking of pupil's next steps.

Paul has prepared my three children for the entrance exam to secondary school. The quality of his teaching is excellent. He has made my children feel at ease and keen to learn. His classes are thoughtfully designed around the needs of the child. Highly recommend.
