My lessons are designed to be dynamic, engaging, and tailored to each student’s goals. I focus on using visual materials such as timelines, maps, images, and short extracts to bring topics to life, alongside interactive activities that encourage discussion, critical thinking, and independent analysis. Rather than relying on passive learning, I aim to create a collaborative environment where students feel confident asking questions and developing their own ideas.

A typical session might begin with a brief review of previous work, followed by focused exploration of a key topic or skill, such as source analysis, essay planning, or exam technique. We then apply this through guided practice, with clear feedback and practical strategies for improvement. I also provide structured support outside lessons where needed, including help with homework, revision planning, and exam preparation.

Throughout my degree, I tutored regularly, primarily as part of a volunteer programme supporting disadvantaged students. This experience taught me how to adapt my teaching style to different needs, abilities, and learning preferences, and how to build confidence in students who may feel unsure about the subject.

Above all, I am passionate about teaching and about making the Humanities accessible and enjoyable. My aim is to help every student not only improve academically, but also develop curiosity, independence, and a genuine interest in the subject. I also tailor resources and pacing to each learner, setting achievable goals and tracking progress over time, so students can clearly see their improvement and stay motivated between sessions while maintaining a positive and supportive atmosphere.
