My lessons are fast-paced, structured and designed to build confidence from the very first session. Every student arrives with different strengths and challenges, so I create a personalised learning plan that feels purposeful, motivating and achievable. Learners often tell me my sessions feel clear, calm and surprisingly enjoyable — especially those who usually struggle with English or feel anxious about exams.
Each lesson follows a dynamic, results-driven format. We begin with a quick warm-up to activate key skills, then move into focused teaching of a specific concept. Students practise using real exam-style tasks, supported by model answers, step-by-step writing frames and clear success criteria. I give precise, actionable feedback so learners know exactly what to improve and how to do it. GCSE students benefit from examiner-style insight, mark-scheme awareness and confidence-boosting routines that make assessments feel far less intimidating.
I’m a qualified English teacher with extensive experience supporting KS3 and GCSE learners, including those with SEND, SEMH needs, anxiety or low confidence. My teaching is patient, adaptable and encouraging. I break down complex ideas into manageable steps and create a safe, supportive space where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking risks.
For adults, I offer practical literacy tuition focused on real-world reading and writing tasks, helping build everyday confidence and communication skills.
Students consistently make strong progress because lessons are engaging, structured and tailored to their needs. My goal is simple: to help every learner feel capable, confident and proud of their achievements.
