I like helping students with their work so start asking what homework they are stuck on and see them try the question. Then if there is theory not being understood i'd go over that with examples. Then back to questions - bit of a feedback mechanism approach to tutoring. I can tutor up to alevel maths, and possibly further maths but I am a bit rusty on the further maths as I have not visited the theory in 5+ years now!
