Due to my experience as a Qualified teacher, I am aware of the curriculum requirements and aims but I also value building relationships led with respect. I will tailor the session based on the learner’s strengths (concrete, pictorial, abstract) practical or written and use these strengths to support their development.
Each lesson typically begins with a short review of previous learning to reinforce key skills and identify any misconceptions. This is followed by clear teaching of the main objective, broken down into manageable steps. I tend to use games, discussion, real-life examples to make learning more meaningful. I use modelling and guided practice to help pupils understand new concepts before moving into independent tasks where they can apply their learning with confidence.
