Paco Lau

I am currently studying in the Royal college of Music and I play the French Horn and Harmonica. I have played the French Horn since I was 6 and the harmonica since I was 3. 1 have been participating in multiple competitions including the Hong Kong school music festival where I won 6 times. I have also participated in competitions overseas including Taiwan and Korea Harmonica competitions where I also won trophies. I have also participated in the World Harmonica festival in 2013 when I was 6 which I came 13th in the youth group. I have been studying in Wells Cathedral School for 5 years which was a Music school. I gained a lot of experience there playing in multiple projects including the symphony orchestra, ensembles, quintets, jazz concerts, pop concerts. I also had the chance to perform a solo Horn piece written by Archie Best in the symphony finale. I was also first horn in multiple symphony projects including pieces like Planets by Holst and Stravinsky's Firebird. I have been keeping myself busy in the Royal College of Music playing in multiple projects including Philharmonics, Brass ensembles, Wind Ensembles and Quintet projects. I have also participated in student run orchestras which made me gain more experience. The wide range of music I have been playing has made me able to play all kinds of music from classical to jazz. I am a patient teacher and I would like to teach in a steady pace to make the lesson comfortable and not too stressful.
