Otman Affaya

I am a qualified Mathematics and Science teacher with over 20 years of international teaching experience and more than 6 years teaching within the UK. I specialise in GCSE and A-Level Mathematics, alongside GCSE Science, with a strong focus on helping students improve their understanding, confidence, and exam performance.

Throughout my career, I have worked with students of all abilities, from those needing additional support to those aiming for top grades. I am known for my patient, supportive approach and my ability to explain complex topics in a clear and simple way.

My teaching method is structured and results-focused. I use a step-by-step approach to ensure students fully understand each concept before progressing. Lessons are interactive and tailored to the individual, incorporating worked examples, guided practice, and exam-style questions. I place a strong emphasis on building confidence, developing problem-solving skills, and improving exam technique.

I also have experience teaching across different curricula, including the UK National Curriculum and international programmes, which allows me to adapt my teaching to suit each student’s needs.
