My lessons are designed to be supportive, calm, and tailored to the needs of each individual student. I use a flexible approach that includes real-life examples, visual aids, kinesthetics and hands-on activities to make maths more meaningful and easier to understand. I have taught pupils in various years via various educational organisations, working at both individual, small groups of 1 to three students and in classsrooms. I break down complex ideas into simple steps and check for understanding before moving on.
I also support students with special educational needs, using relevant techniques to help improve memory, understanding, and confidence. My lessons tend to include a short warm-up to review past learning, followed by guided instruction, problem-solving, and student-led practice. I also insert feedback and encouragement to help students reflect and stay motivated.
I aim to build not only academic skills but also confidence, self-esteem, resilience, and a positive attitude towards maths. Lessons will align with the UK National Curriculum, and I am trained in safeguarding, behaviour management, and SEN strategies. I hold an enhanced DBS and have worked in various roles across education, including as a Math Tutor, English Tutor, PSHE tutor, teaching assistant, and cover supervisor.
Whether your child needs help catching up, preparing for exams, or simply gaining confidence, I offer engaging, well-structured, and personalised lessons that support real, lasting progress at a comfortable pace in a safe, friendly, and encouraging environment.
